Auction of approximately 400 lots,
the majority being offered without reserve, comprises 18th, 19th and 20th Century furniture including a Dublin 19th
Century long case clock by Philip Glasco, an upright bookcase by Robert Strahan, several giltwood overmantel mirrors, an Irish 18th Century fold-over card table, a pair of elliptical side tables, occasional tables, chests of drawers, dining chairs, assorted porcelain, glass, silver and objets d’art. Also included is a collection of Irish art including landscapes by Percy French, George Gillespie, Norman McCaig, Frank Egginton, Fergus O’Ryan, Ernest Hayes, Liam Treacy and Tom Nisbett, along with some more contemporary works by artists such as Norah McGuinness, John Kingerlee, John Morris, Norman Teeling, Paul Kavanagh, Ivan Sutton, etc. Also general household items, books, garden furniture and a quantity of workshop equipment including a Myford Lathe, carpentry tools etc.

Artists included in the collection of around 100 paintings are Pat Harris, Patrick Collins, Brian Maguire, Gwen O’Dowd, Elizabeth Magill, Patrick Hall, John Keating, Cecily Brennan, Eithne Jordan, Charlie Whisker, etc. A very interesting collection of works from one of Irelands foremost collectors, purchased by Vincent with the view of supporting the emerging talent of the time.
